I figured I’d start doing a little bit every other week on here showcasing the music I’ve been feeling lately. Music is a big part of my life and a lot of the drive and motivation I have comes from a soundtrack that matches it. I’m going to update this every other week as I typically make a new playlist every other week or so…. anyway here’s a bit of my brain through music!
— something new —
Olivia O’Brien – “i hate u, i love u”: She’s 18. She’s got the voice of an angel. And her collab with Gnash is top notch. This song really just makes me feel so calm.
Marc E Bassey – “You & Me”: Ahh yes another song about relationships. This one feels really happy, aside from the lyrics. It’s got a fun summery vibe, it feels carefree. Kind of that feeling when you’re getting over an old relationship and you’re finally feeling like life is real again, ya feel me?
Demi Lovato – “Tell Me You Love Me”: WHERE DO I START?! Demi is all I ever want to be in life. She is strong, sexy and talented. I think she’s done a fabulous job going from Disney to real-life, her entire “Tell Me You Love Me” album is amazing. I’ll be real, I’ve had it reoccurring on my playlists since it was released!
mansionz – “Gorgeous”: I just love his voice. And Mike Posner pops in this track… and that guitar riff is pretty sexy. What more do you need?

The Neighborhood –“Dangerous”: I only recently discovered the “#000000 & #FFFFFF” album… it was released in 2014 and the only track to hit Spotify until now was “#icanteven”(also a banger), but this whole album is super moody and chill, as is most of The NBHD’s music.
Carly Rae Jepson – “Store”: This song sounds like a soft grunge Tumblr. All I see is pastel pinks, lavenders, blues… and palm trees. It’s also carefree and fun. Also Carly released this on a B-Side album…. um what?!? It’s so catchy! It would have totally been “Call Me Maybe” all over again!
Side note, Starbucks sells Watermelon juice now. It’s sooooo goooooood and has me wishing for Springtime!
What music have you been bumpin’ lately? Let me know in the comments!
